The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center will be holding auditions for the workshop production of Key.Pin.It.Real. This is an original musical written by Kathie Lee Gifford and David Friedman and will be workshopped on April 25, 2009 at the Florida State Thespian Convention. We will be documenting this rehearsal process through photos/video and Ms. Gifford and Mr. Friedman will be in attendance at the Thespian Convention.
This is open to high school and college age students. Rehearsals for this workshop will be on Saturdays from 9a-1p starting Feb 21 and continue through April 25. This is an exciting opportunity for musical theater students to be showcased in front of their peers at the convention and to work with Ms. Gifford and Mr. Friedman. Ms. Gifford is currently the host of the Today Show’s 4th hour and Mr. Friedman has orchestrated many Disney classics such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mulan and the Lion King.
The cast for KEY PIN IT REAL has been selected and will hold a workshop performance at the STATE THESPIAN FESTIVAL in April. Many of our District 9 Thespians were cast along with students from surrounding counties. The cast is listed below.
